My Travel Adventures to Paris, France

My Travel Adventures to Paris, France

Paris, France Ahh Paris, the City of Love….*record scratching*…it was not romantic at all haha. But I also didn’t go with a loved one. This trip was Part II of the College Trip (see Germany & Switzerland here). I’m not sure how many stars the place we stayed at had, but there were guys peeing in the street and I got a very ‘dirty’ feeling from the city. Maybe Paris was having an off week, I don’t know. It definitely…

My Travel Adventures in Germany & Switzerland

My Travel Adventures in Germany & Switzerland

Thinking of traveling to Germany & Switzerland? Here are my adventures in the Mid to Southern part of Germany & Basel, Switzerland. (I took this trip in May 2009 and didn’t know how to take photos, so apologies in advance!) This trip was for a Chemistry college credit and we paired up with the textiles class so our stops catered to learning. **All of my photos keep having ‘broken links’ even though they’re mine and not linked to anything. So…

Why You Should Get a CityPASS for the Summer

If you haven’t heard of CityPass, it’s a discounted pass (40-50% off the actual total), that let’s you explore a city’s zoo, museums, aquarium, etc. Most cities are throughout the US, with 1 in Toronto. Since I’m from around Houston, Texas, I’m going to do a breakdown of the Houston CityPass. The CityPass is valid for 9 consecutive days. It’s perfect for a vacation to a new city, when out-of-town family visits you, date nights in your own city, and…

USA Scratch Off Map Craft Project

USA Scratch Off Map Craft Project

Hi everyone! So, if you saw my post about Summer, you saw that I love the USA Scratch Off Map. You can have the map say United States or Places We’ve Been. I wanted to start something with my husband that we could add to and look back on. I do some scrapbooking but I thought this was a cute way to show where we’ve been. There’s a world map too but I figured it would take longer to fill…

My Travel Adventures in Washington, Oregon, & Canada

My Travel Adventures in Washington, Oregon, & Canada

I’ve been wanting to travel and visit Seattle, Washington and British Columbia, Canada for a while and my friend, Blaire, moved there and gave me the perfect excuse to finally go and visit. I went up in August and the weather was perfect! Seattle wasn’t drizzly-rainy at all! Maybe I brought good luck. And because I stayed with my friend, I’m sorry, I won’t have a list of places to stay. But check out all the cool things we did!…

My Mission Journey & Excursions in Costa Rica

My Mission Journey & Excursions in Costa Rica

Through Moody Methodist Church I got to travel with a great group to San Jose, Costa Rica. We traveled in June (2013) and the weather was perfect. We stayed in the John Wesley House in Tibas and took a bus to Methodist Children’s Home (Hogar Metodista) in Coronado. The place we stayed at was walking distance to the national soccer stadium and a McDonalds. There are stray dogs everywhere. We did construction on the children’s home, taking an hour break for…

My Mission Journey & Excursion in India

My Mission Journey & Excursion in India

Through the good graces of Moody Methodist Church and financial provisions from the Lord, I got to go on an amazing adventure to Life Light Ministry in India in September (2015). Before we left we read a book called Precious Children of India by Elizabeth Ann Carpenter. I highly recommend it. In it are back stories about these kids and their new life with Life Light Ministry. It will make you cry but also be thankful for their better life with this…

My Mission Journey & Excursion in South Africa

My Mission Journey & Excursion in South Africa

I teamed up with some friends to visit Ten Thousand Homes in White River, Mpumalanga, South Africa (ZA), in August (2014). On the way to ZA, we had a lay over in Heathrow Airport in London and decided to take a quick trip to Windsor Castle. St. George’s Cathedral is inside the grounds and I got to see many historical figure’s resting place (I love history). We got to eat fish and chips and mushy peas, pose with a telephone booth,…
